So damn it's almost been a year since I've said anything personal at all on this website, so I thought I'd share some details.
Welp, I'm an adult now. I have been for a year, a little bit nerve-racking. Graduated high school in June 2016 and have been trying to really start my life. I have been going to community college and feeling low because I didn't go to art school straight out of high school, but I actually made it in to VCU Arts after a year! This is kinda unheard of because my GPA wasn't the greatest and I was coming in as a transfer, so I'm real happy about that.
As far as art goes, I've pretty much abandoned digital art. I've never really liked digital art, you can never really know how it will turn out. I think hand drawn art looks better and you have much more control. Oh, and I've been working on a webcomic DAVIS, which I'm really proud of. I've grown up a lot and it reflects in my artwork. Please check out DAVIS! My friend and I work really hard on it, and I think if it gets out there a lot of people will love it. It's episodic as well, so we try to keep our viewers on their toes. Here's a link:
www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/…I haven't been doing any dating really recently. I had someone I loved a lot a few months ago but we fell apart. It's both of our faults, and I really want to fix things so we can have a normal friendship, but it seems she isn't too interested. That's fine though, I can't blame her for how she feels, and she has a right to those feelings. I haven't been able to find anyone who gives me those same feelings, though.
I wish I could find more time to do art, though. I feel really miserable at my job and I just want to make art my full time. When I start at VCU, I'm going to try to take advantage of all the artistic opportunities I can to make my dream a little more possible. I want this more than anything. I've been having a bit of a hard time deciding what I want to do; I want to do animation, but I also don't want to give up painting. I'm not sure where I'm going, but I want to get there.
Thanks for reading this! And I hope you are all doing well.
